Gorilla Bike Adventures – Kids Camp & Coaching

We work closely with Gorilla Bike Adventures, the bike school based in Ehrwald. Their team offers guided mountain bike and e-bike tours, personal coaching and the popular Kids Camp designed especially for young biking enthusiasts.

At the Kids Camp, your children will learn:

• safe braking, cornering techniques and balance
• the correct riding position and line of sight
• playful riding on real trails
• group fun with children of the same age

For parents & teens, there are also guided tours and technical coaching sessions – from beginners to experienced bikers. Bookings and advice are available directly at our reception.

Tip: Every May, the Bike Opening in Lermoos and Ehrwald takes place – with trial shows, workshops and a family festival. The perfect start to the biking season.

In the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, six mountain lifts operate in summer, taking your family effortlessly up to panoramic viewpoints:

• Ehrwalder Almbahn: Alpine playground, starting point for Lake Seebensee
• Wettersteinbahn: Zugspitzpark, bike trails, forest slides

Hiking with Children on the Zugspitze

Hiking with children on the Zugspitze doesn’t have to be exhausting - quite the opposite. Here are our personal tips:

For the little ones (stroller-friendly):

• Ehrwalder Alm circular trail - flat and easy, with an alpine playground and petting animals
• Hochfeldernalm trail - wide forest paths and short walking distances

For families with school-age children:

• Seebensee (1,657 m) - around 2 hours from the Ehrwalder Alm mountain station, a turquoise-blue lake reflecting the Zugspitze
• Drachensee (1,874 m) - an extended tour with a stop at Coburger Hut
• Gaistal valley hike - water, meadows and alpine huts

For ambitious families:

• Coburger Hut (1,917 m) - a full-day tour with the option of an overnight stay
• Zugspitze via the Gatterl - the real summit ascent (only for experienced parents)

Forest Adventures for Little Explorers

The forest is the world’s biggest classroom. In and around Ehrwald, your family can enjoy:

• Bichlbach Climbing Forest - courses for every age from 4 years upwards
• 7 digital adventure trails with audio guides, videos and riddles (each around 4-5 km)

• Guided nature adventure hikes organised directly by Tirolerhof

At the Berg Buddy Kids Club, we extend the forest adventure even further: treasure hunts in the woods, reading animal tracks and campfires in the hotel garden.
