MOUNTAINS IN FLAMES – The Solstice Fire Spectacle
When the longest day meets the shortest night, the mountains around Ehrwald catch fire – and so do our hearts! During the summer solstice, the mighty Zugspitze mountains become a stage for a fiery open-air show: Mountains in Flames is nature, tradition, magic, and family fun all rolled into one.
As dusk sets in, the guessing begins at the Tirolerhof: What glowing symbols will appear on the slopes this year? A stag made of sparks? A flaming heart? Or perhaps a fire-breathing dragon?
Then – as night falls – it begins: Over 300 mountaintop fires light up the valley between Ehrwald, Lermoos and Biberwier. Mythical symbols, spiritual shapes and even modern messages glow across the ridgelines, creating a breathtaking moment under the starry sky.
And us? We’re right in the middle of it all!
A little extra for our guests:
We’ll head out together to the Moos, the perfect spot for wide eyes and a 360° view of the glowing spectacle. And when the fires start to fade into embers, we continue on to the Confetti Alm: There we celebrate life – with a cozy campfire, a cheerful drink, and a traditional Hoangart in the warm Tyrolean night. An evening to remember – in your heart… and maybe on your phone (because let’s be honest, fiery mountain stags don’t happen every day!).
